BUDGET DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RINGS

I’m actually pretty impressed.

James Allen has always been one of my favorite Jewelers online because they are always miles ahead of the competition.

They show you close-up real images (10x magnification) of their Diamonds (not sample images like many others do), so you can see the exact quality of the stone yourself before you buy it.

You can see all of the Inclusions, Lines, Clouds, Flaws that reside within the Diamond, and you can see them from any angle. You can spin the Diamond around and scrutinize it from all directions, even from behind.

That’s awesome!

So when I saw they came out with something new, I had to check it out!

When you go to the James Allen Website you’ll see a little red tag in the upper right hand corner that says:

“Ring Concierge”

As shown here…

I selected it and up came a menu with some very Neat, Clean, and Simple options for making an Engagement Ring Purchase. You can’t get any less painless than this…

The 4 options were:

• BUDGET
• DIAMOND
• METAL
• STYLE

Sounds easy enough, so let’s do it…

I choose a Budget of $3,000, since it’s the average price of an Engagement Ring. I typed 3000 into the box and hit NEXT…

(Do note that this Budget is the total price of BOTH the Ring and the Diamond!)

Now you get to choose your Diamond Shape. It allows you to choose either Round Cut or Princess Cut, which are the two most popular Shapes of Diamond on the market.

I chose ROUND because it’s the most Brilliant Diamond that you can buy!

Next up, is your choice of Metal!

You can choose:

• White Gold
• Yellow Gold
• Platinum

These are the 3 industry standards for Engagement Rings everywhere!

I choose "White Gold" for a variety of reasons… White Gold is a Bright-White Metal that takes on a High, Reflective Polish, it doesn’t add any Color into the Diamond, and it’s way CHEAPER than Platinum is (White Gold was actually made as a substitute for Platinum).

So I pick White Gold and hit NEXT…

Now we get to the fun part…

The next section is the Style of Mounting you want. There are 5 distinct categories to choose from:

• Solitaire
• Side-Stone
• Three-Stone
• Halo
• Antique

The Description for these say:

Solitaire:

A Ring with one Center Diamond and no Side Stones.

Side-Stone:

A Ring with Side Stones embedded into the Setting.

Three-Stone:

A Ring with one Center Diamond and Two Prominent Side Diamonds.

Halo:

A Ring with Diamonds encircling the Center Diamond.

Antique:

A Ring with a Vintage-inspired look.

So I Select "HALO"…

Up comes a screen with Diamond Ring Suggestions that lists both the center Diamond, the Mounting, and their Prices!

And these are all UNDER the specified Budget you set! :)

I’m pretty impressed at the quality of the goods as well. The Clarity Ranges (at a quick glance) from VS1 – SI2, which is normal quality found in stores.

And the Color of these stones sits in the Near Colorless Range, which is also average Color found on the market.

So I go back and select Side-Stones and up comes a mix of rings with Side Stones, Channel-Set Stones, Pave Diamonds, as shown here…

The Carat Weights in the center of these rings is pretty grand as well (not what you’d expect). The first ring shows a 3/4 Carat Diamond, which is an excellent size for this price range.

Now I select “SOLITAIRE” to see what shows up…

Now I’m really impressed!

The first Diamond Ring shown is a 3/4 Carat Diamond with VS2 Clarity!

VS is incredible Quality! (well above average)

The Color is I, which is average Color…

And it’s set in a Wide Cathedral Style Mounting (my favorite)…

All for $2,960

Wanting a closer look, I selected this particular Diamond Ring…

You can now get a closer look at the Mounting (spin it around from all sides), and you can then take a much better, and 10x magnified look at the actual stone itself…

What a Beautiful Diamond this is!

You can’t go wrong with .72 Carat, VS2 Clarity, I Color.

Plus, it’s also GIA Certified!

GIA and AGS are the ONLY two Diamond Reports (Certification) I would recommend!!! (Very Important)

I pull up the actual Diamond Report of this here stone, and I see that the CUT of the Diamond (also Very Important for both Beauty and Sparkle) has a Cut Grade of “EXCELLENT”!

And, this stone has NO Fluorescence! (also Very Crucial!)

Not only is this stone Cut Great, but the Polish and Symmetry are also Cut “EXCELLENT”…

This is a Triple Excellent Diamond!

That’s the Best Cut Grade you can get!

I really am impressed!

James Allen has put together one of the quickest and simplest ways to buy a great Diamond, AND a great Ring, all UNDER a BUDGET that you decide upon!
